DENISON- Funeral services for Jackie King, 68, will be held
at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Denison, under
the direction of Johnson Moore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn
Cemetery. Mark Mitchell will officiate. Phil Miller, a longtime friend,

The Lord called her home after a long illness while surrounded by
her loving family.
Jackie was born on Feb. 27, 1941 in Plainview, the daughter of Arthur
and Zola Tubb. She married Billy King on July 4, 1957 in Plainview. Two
years ago Billy and Jackie celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Before her illness, she was an active member of First Baptist Church.
She taught preschool children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School
for many years; known affectionately as "Grandma Jackie". She also served
on the Benevolence Committee; serving as chairwomen of the committee until
her health no longer allowed her to. Jackie was also a member of the Budget
and Finance Committee.
Family was the greatest love of her life. She was a wonderful wife,
mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Throughout the years she has been
our encourager, confidante, protector, best friend and a role model of
whom we should all strive to be. One of the amazing things about our mom
is that she showered her friends with the same unconditional love that
she showed her family.
She is survived by her husband, Billy King of Denison; daughter,
Janice Nicholson, and husband, Bill, of Fairview; daughter, Kelly Williams,
and husband Jay of Edmond, Okla.; sister, JoAnn Williams and husband Jack
of Lago Vista; and her grandchildren, Jayma Williams, Danielle Nicholson
Barrett, Lynley Nicholson, Jordan Williams and JaCoby Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Tubb.
Billy wants to extend a special thank you to Anderson Merchandisers
and Debbie Johnson. During the 50 years that Billy worked for the company,
Jackie was known for her love and kindness to all the associates.
Family visitation will be from 6 -7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home.
