V.L. Harshbarger
Sadler - V.L. Harshbarger, 62, farmer of Sadler, died Tuesday at
2:05 p.m. after an illness of two years with heart disease. Funeral
services were to be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Sadler at the Methodist
church, conducted by Dr. Roy H. Biser, pastor of the Central Christian
Chapel, east of here.
Mr. Harshbarger is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alta Wallace Harshbarger;
a brother, S.W. Harshbarter; two sisters, Mrs. J.A. Siebert, Sadler, and
Mrs. W.I, Haswell, Norman, Okla., a half-brother, B.F. Harshbarger, two
half-sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Smith, Sadler, and Mrs. Effie Brooker, Denison,
several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Harshbarger was born Sept 17, 1872, at Atwood, Ill., a son of
Mr. and Mrs. aaron harshbarger. He came to Texas in Feburary, 1857,
and to Grayson county the following September. He was a member of
the Christian church.
Dannel-Scott, funeral directors of Sherman, are in charge of arrangements
for the funeral.
