Dorchester - Robert A. "Bob" Walkup, 62, of Henrietta, Texas, and formerly of Dorchester, died Thursday at a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services were held Saturday in the Church of Christ in Henrietta with Ken Conkling officiating.
Graveside services were held Saturday in Collinsville Cemetery.
Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta had charge of arrangements.
Mr. Walkup was born in Grayson County and was a graduate of Dorchester High School.  He received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Abilene Christian University.  On July 28, 1962, he married Valentine Forester in Sweetwater.
During the Korean conflict, he was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was a range conservationist with the United States Department of Agriculture.
He was a deacon in the church of Christ, past district governor of the 2E-1 Lions Club, and a former director of the Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce.  In 1972, he was named Outstanding Citizen in Brackettville.  He served as soil conservationist in Coleman from 1960-1967.  In 1975, he was named "Outstanding Aggie from ACU."
