His Obituary-
Pilcher, David O., Sr.
Services for David O. Pilcher Sr. are schedule for 1 p.m. today
at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Noble Wiltshire
officiating. Burial will follow at Collinsville Cemetery under the direction
of the funeral home.
Mr. Pilcher died Monday, April 8, 1996, at the Sherman Nursing Center.
He was born Aug. 20, 1912, to General Robinson and Jessie Dee Brown
Pilcher in Collinsville. He retired in 1960 from the U.S. Air Force after
more than 23 years of service. Then, he was employed by the Texas Prison
System at Brazoria for 10 years. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include daughter, Rebecca Newman of Brazoria; sons David
O. Pilcher, Jr. of Hawaii and Clifford Pilcher of Austin; brother Ralph
Pilcher of Gainesville; sisters Fern Thomas of Gainesville, Darlene Nall
of Pilot Point and Julia Barr of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Jerry Ballinger, Doug Grigsby, Jack Newman Jr.,
Don Pilcher, Mike Pilcher nad Pete Pilcher.

Mrs. David O. Pilcher
WHITESBORO - Services will be held Tuesday in the Collinsville Methodist
Church at 10 a.m. for Mrs. David O. Pilcher, 45, who died Friday at Brooke
General Hospital, San Antonio.
Burial will be at the Collinsville Cemetery directed by Richards
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pilcher, who made her home at Brazoria, was born May 10, 1925,
in Nebraska. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Alchin.
She married David Oliver Pilcher in 1938. She was a member
of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Oliver Pilcher Jr.,
of Houston and General Clifford Pilcher of California; one daughter, Mrs.
Becky Newman of Virginia; four grandchildren; her parents and five sisters
of Nebraska.
