Mrs. C. Vannoy Rites Held Here Tuesday
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Church of
christ for Mrs. Oma Lee Vannoy, who died in a Houston, Texas, hospital
January 6, 1946. Willis Kreager, minister of the Church of Christ,
Gainesville was in charge.
Pall bearers were Vernon and Carl Vannoy, Melvin Petty, Chas. Goodman,
W.L. Slack, Jr., and Ray Sutton.Interment in the Collinsville cemetery
was under the directionf Richards-Beck.
Oma Lee Combest was born April 25, 1916 a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
F.C. Combest. She was reared in the Ethel community.
She married Clyde Vannoy January 11, 1936. Four children were
born t this union. Two died in infancy. She is survived by
her husband, one daughter, Martha Ann, age 9, one son, Robert Ronald, age
3, her mother, Mrs. Ellen Combest, one brother, Ernest Combest, two sisters
Mrs. J.O. Quattlebaum and Mrs. Fred Green. She was a member of the
Church of Christ.
