COLLINSVILLE, Texas--MAUDIE ELLEN WALKUP DIES IN WHITESBORO
After several months illness, Mrs. Maudie Ellen Walkup, 73, died
Thursday at 11 a. m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Ballard of
Whitesboro. Mrs. Walkup lived in Collinsville, funeral will be Saturday,
2:30 p.m. in Collinsville Methodist Church with burial in Collinsville
Cemetery directed by Richards-Beck Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Mrs. Walkup
was born Feb 22, 1880 in Hannibal, Missouri, a daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. P.N. Watts. She married J.D. Walkup, Aug 17 1897 in Collinsville.
Surviving are three sons, R.N. Walkup and R.E. Walkup, both of Houston
and B.F. Walkup of Dorchester; eight daughters, Mrs. O.E. Box and Mrs.
J.G. Pilcher, both of Houston, Mrs. Ballard of Whitesboro, Mrs. B.W. Flowers
of Crosbyton,
Mrs. J.J. Pilcher of Whitesboro, Mrs. M.E. Neely and Mrs. C.C. Goodman,
both of Collinsville and Mrs. J.T. Thomas of Bells; two brothers, J.P.
Watts of Lawton, Okla. and H/N? Watts of Port Arthur; two sisters, Mrs.
A.E. Hutton of Collinsville and Mrs. Walter Bard of Lawton; 26 grandchildren
