Community

Day Community was located five miles west of Dorchester.  The Range Creek School was established about 1875.  The early settlers had large families and their children attended Range Creek Schoo from 1875 - 1955.

The community was known as Day Community; Day Church; Day Voting Box.

The Literary Society was formed in 1900 with C.M.Cole Sr. elected president. This provided entertainment for people which consisted of "The paper being read, singing, plays, debates, presentations by local composers.
