Born and reared in Denison, Edward Seay will become public relations director of New York’s Waldorf-Astoria — one of the storied hostelries of the world — effective Sept. 10. Seay, who graduated from Denison High School and did his first newspaper work on the Denison Herald, has been advertising and public relations director of the Plaza in New York the last 14 years. He is the son of the late Dr. E. L. Seay and Mrs. Nancy Mathes Seay. For the past six years he has written a New York column for “Diplomat Magazine.” Seay visited in Denison earlier this summer as guest of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Smith.
