used primarily by African-Americans

Munson Park, North Houston Avenue, contains a large lake with a bathing beach. Trailers may be parked and fishing and boating are permitted free, but no actual trailer park is maintained. The land for Munson Park was given to the city of Denison by J. T Munson and W. B. Munson. The park was laid out for
improvement under Kessler plans and the roads and lake put in by W. B. Munson.

A seccond pool was built at Waterloo Park in southwestern Denison, which was used almost exclusively by the Caucasian population.
