WALTER  VANELLE  CHAMBERS

Funeral services for Walter Vanal Chambers, 76, of Gordonville were hedl at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Huff Chapel in Whitesboro.  He died Feb 15, 1983, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman from a short illness.
The Rev. John Craft, pastor of Grordonville Baptist Church, conducted the services.
Burial was at Dixie Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home, Whitesboro.
Mr. Chambers was born on March 30, 1906, in Savoy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Chambers.  He married Iona Riddle on Sept. 16, 1926, in Sherman.
He was a retired machinist for Air-Craft Company and a member of the First Baptist Church, Tioga.
Survivors include: two sons; W. V. Chambers, Jr., of Pottsboro and Ronald D. Chambers of Gordonville; four daughters, Jean Carney, Peggy Worrel and Mary Alice Burger of Pilot Point, and Jo Nell Burchett of Wilson, Okla.; two sisters, Bessie Daum of Gordonville and Pauline Sandridge of the Dixie Community; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were:  David Carney, Rickie Chambers, Ronald Chambers, Randy Clark, Mitch Yarbrough, and Jimmy Don Chambers.

IONA RIDDLE CHAMBERS

GORDONVILLE -- Services for Mrs. Iona Riddle Chambers, 76-year-old Gordonville housewife, who died Monday at Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Huff Funeral Chapel of Whitesboro.  The Rev. John D. Craft of the Gordonville Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Dixie Cemetery.  (8-30-82 handwritten)

GORDONVILLE -- Services for Walter Vanal Chambers of Gordonville, 76-year-old retired aircraft company machinist who died Tuesday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Huff Funeral Chapel of Whitesboro.  (2-15-83 handwritten)
The rev. John Craft of the First Baptist Chruch of Gordonville will officiate and burial will be in Dixie Cemetery.
Mr. Chambers was born in Savoy, a son of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Chambers, and was married to Iona Riddle on Sept. 16, 1926 in Sherman.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sons; W. V. Chambers Jr., of Pottsboro and Ronald D. Chambers of Gordonville; daughters, Mrs. Jean Carney, Mrs. Peggy Worrell and Mrs. Mary Alice Burger, all of Pilot Point and Mrs. Jo Nell Burchett of Sulphur, Okla.; brothers, Clyde Chambers of Wilson, Okla., and Forrest Chambers of Olney; sisters, Mrs. Bessie Daum of Gordonville and Mrs. Pauline Sandridge of the Dixie community; 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
