Sherman, Texas, June 22- D. P. Walker Sr. , 66, of Collinsville,
Route 1, farmer and stockman in West Grayson County for forty-two years,
died Sunday at a Sherman hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services are to be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Macomb Baptist
Church, conducted by the Rev. Virgil Calger of Gainesville. Burial will
be in the Ethel Cemetery, east of Collinsville.
Walker was born Aug.1 1885, in Dallas, son of Thomas A. and Mary
Ann Walker. He was married to Miss Tennie Bozarth March 16, 1910,
at Southmayd. They had made their home on Route 1, Collinsville for the
past forty-one years. At the time of his death Walker was in the dairy
business. He was a member of the Macomb Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife; one son, D.P. Walker, Jr. of Collinsville,
Route 1; three daughters, Mrs. Lorene Chewing of Dallas, Mrs. Aline Farr
of Route 1, Collinsville, and Mrs. Paulita Reilly of Athens, Texas, and
seven grandchildren.
