Sarah A. & William H. Voelkle
Death Cert. info; Sarah Ann Voelkle, 30 Nov 1876-11 May 1950. She lived and died at 211 E. Brockett St. in Sherman. She was a widow and born in Franklin Co., Tn. dau. of J.D. McElroy and Adilene Collins born in Ala. 
She died of acute pulmonary edema, caridac asthma (paroxymal Dyp??) and hypertensive cardio-vasular disease. 

Obituary ; William H. Voelkle, 78, Given Burial at Ethel, Dallas Morning News, 17 Jun 1948
Collinsville, Tx. June 16- Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Ethel Baptist Church for William Herman Voekle(sic) , 78, pioneer resident of Sherman and an early settler of Ethel Community, east of here. Voekle died Monday in a Pilot Point Hospital after a 4-month illness. Burial was in the Ethel Cemetery.
Voekle came to Texas in 1877 from Ohio, settling in Sherman in a house which now holds the present Sherman Post Office. A few years later Voekle purchased a section of land near Ethel, where he had resided since. He was a member of the Collinsville Odd Fellows Lodge and had been a member of the Woodmen of the World fifty-one years. He is survived by his wife; three sons, O.A. Voekle of Houston, W.E. Voekle and John J. Voekle of the Ethel Community; two daughters; Mrs. J. N. Morris of Dallas and Miss Cleo Voekle of Ethel; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
