DENISON - Steven Craig Alley, 55,
passed from this life into eternal
life on Monday, April 5, 2010 in Denison.
Visitation will be from 10 -11 a.m.
Friday, April 9, 2010 at Bratcher
Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday, April 9, 2010 at
Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Alan Mattingly officiating.
Pallbearers
will be Mike Pike, Nate Pike, Robert Sylvester, Bob Dye, Sale Omohundro
and Anthony Ciaccio. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1501 Hwy.
91 N, Denison.
Steve was born on Oct. 18, 1954 in
Mooresville, N.C., the son of
Robert Moore Alley and Florence Isenhour Alley. He graduated from North
Mecklenburg High School and received his BA in education from Pfeiffer
College in North Carolina. He received his master of technology degree
from SOSU in Durant, Okla.
He moved to Texas in 1982 with Custom
Products. He then made Texas
his home after marrying Nancy Wester on June 18, 1983. Steve enjoyed
his
friends and family and was especially proud of daughter, Lacey and
grandson,
Peyton.
Steve worked for Oscar Mayer, KXII-TV,
First National Bank of Whitewright
and was an assistant golf pro and a member of the Men's Golf
Association
at Woodlawn Country Club for many years. He was active on the football
and wrestling teams in high school, was on the tennis team in college
and
became an avid golfer later in life.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Alley of
Denison; daughter Lacey
Alley, Dave Smith and grandson Peyton Connor Smith, all of Denison;
mother
Florence Alley of Mooresville, N.C.; sisters Kaye Mode of Mooresville,
N.C. and Dianne Robinson of Oakton, Va.; nephews Mark Mode, Michael
Mode
and John "Tripp" Boyter, all of Mooresville, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his father,
Robert Moore Alley and father
and mother-in-law, Truman and Edna Wester.
