4 Perish, 15 Hurt in 2
Accidents
PILOT POINT, Texas (AP) - Three members of one family and a college
student died Sunday night when two cars collided during a rain between
Pilot Point and Tioga in North Central Texas.
Minutes later, an ambulance returning from the scene of the crash
was involved in a 10-car pileup within the city limits of Denton that injured
15 persons.
The Department of Public Safety identified the fatalities as:
Charles W. Ridlehoover, 34, Box 351, Collinsville; his wife, Charlene,
32; a Ridlehoover son, 10, and Jan Edward Blasingame, 21, a student at
North Texas State University from Denison.
Officers said the Ridlehoover car apparently skidded out of control
while traveling north on State 99 and collided with the Blasingame car's
left front.
William Thomas Walker, 29, of Denison was injured and taken to Parkland
Hospital in Dallas.
