SHERMAN - Shirley J. Bruce, 72, of Sherman
went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. As she prepared to
enter heaven, she was at home with her husband, daughter and faithful companion
Cuddles.
Family visitation will be from 2 -4 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 at
Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison. Funeral service will
be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at Trinity Lighthouse Church,
2915 Spur 503, Denison. Her pastor Rev. Raymond England will officiate.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1501 S.H. 91 N. Denison. Pallbearers
will be Jackie Brown, Jason Busbey, Jim Crawley, Bob Clay, Steve Jacobs
and Marce Strong.
Shirley was a very loving wife, mother and sister. She and her husband
spent more than 55 years loving and caring for each other. Most of her
life was dedicated to working in the community and caring for her family.
She was actively involved in her church. The last six years she courageously
battled numerous health problems, but never stopped thinking of others.
She is a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church.
Survivors include her husband Chuck and daughter Theresa of Sherman;
sons, Robert of Los Lunas, N.M., and Gary of Lubbock. She has several brothers
and sisters, Joyce Forgue of Denison, Eddy Forgue of Sherman, Lee Forgue
of Denison, Barbara Kuykendal and husband Jimmy of Waskom, Leonard B. Baker
of Bonham, Beverly Doty, Linda Harbisson and husband Jerre, Sherry Howe
and husband Carl, all of Denison. She is also survived by her two precious
aunts, Wanda Hale and husband Hueland of Colbert and Leona Haase of Great
Bend, Kan.
Preceding her in death are parents Leonard Baker and Gloria Faye
Baker, Rosa V. Forgue and Armond Forgue, brothers Armond Forgue Jr. and
Ronald Baker.
