DENISON - Julia May Byler, 93, passed
away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Visitation will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at
Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010
at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Everett Hodges officiating. Pallbearers
will be Chance Roberson, Raymond Glenn, Rodney Glenn, Dale Gouge, Victor
Hollingsworth Jr. and Victor Hollingsworth, III. Burial will follow at
Fairview Cemetery, 1501 S.H. 91 North, Denison.
Julia was born on Aug. 28, 1916 in Denison, the daughter of William
Reynolds and Jennie Lee Koiner. She worked for Yellow Jacket Boat Co.,
Madonna Hospital, Safeway Production and retired from Texas Instruments
after 20 years. She volunteered at Reba's Ranch House. She also volunteered
for the Diabetes Walk-A-Thon. She was a member of the R.S.V.P. Club and
the Thursday Book Review Club at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church
in Denison.
She is survived by daughters Rachel Glenn and husband Roger of Van
Alstyne, Jennie Garner of Denison; sons Jerry Hollingsworth and wife Mary
of Kellyville, Okla., Victor Hollingsworth and wife Marie of Sherman; sister
Helen McDermott of Denison; brother James Reynolds and wife Lola of Hutchins;
15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 12 great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Elber Hollingsworth and husband
Ray Byler, daughter Donna Kay Ferrell, brothers Jack, Floyd, Wallace and
Ralph Reynolds.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Bratcher
Funeral Home.
