MRS. ADLINE L. ABICHT
Mrs. Adline L. Abicht, 68, resident of Grayson county 47 years, died
at 12:15 p.m Sunday at her home
in the Friendship community after an illness of several days.
Funeral services were to be held at 3 p.m.
Monday from the Friendship church, the Rev. W. H. Vail of Valley
View officiating. The Revs. C. J. Graves
of Alvord was to assis in services. Burial was to be at Friendship
cemetery with the Dannel-Scott
Funeral home of Sherman in charge.
Mrs. Abicht was born July 6, 1867, in Marietta, Ohio. She was
married to G. W. Abicht at Marietta and
moved shortly afterwards to the Friendship community. She
was a member of the Friendship church.
Surviving are her husband; one son, T. C. Abicht; two daughters,
Mrs. John Dalton and Mrs. Alvin Kumler,
aoo of near Sherman; one brother, Alonzo Goudier of Marietta, Ohio
and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Clyde Wible, Wade Smith, Will Cummings, dave
Dalton, Harry Hudgins and Dudley Caudry.

ANNA LEE ABICHT
Services for Anna Lee Abicht, 98, who died Saturday, September 13,
2003, in Whitesboro, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at Friendship
United Methodist Church. Reverend Charles Hahn of the church and
he niece, Mary Lois O'Neal will officiate. Interment will follow
at Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Abicht was born September 16, 1904, just east of Van Alstyne.
She was the daughter of James Bryan Peoples and Ida E. McGinnis Peoples.
She attended Black Bridge Country School in Sherman and married Tim Abicht,
who died October 3, 1968. On August 12, 1978, she married Horace
Abicht, who died February 28, 1996.
For many years, Mrs. Abicht was an active member of Key Memorial
United Church, was once president of the Christian Homemakers Class, a
member of the Lydia Gray United Methodist Women's Group, president of the
United Methodist Women, and long-time member of the choir. She was
also a member of the Board of Stewards at Key Memorial Methodist church.
She was an officer for the Friendship Cemetery Association and, with her
husband Tim Abicht, began the Perpetual Care Fund for the cemetery.

GEORGE W. ABICHT
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Friendship
community church
for George W. Abicht, 77, who died at 9:45 p.m. Friday at his home
fives miles
west of Sherman on route 2.
The Rev. F.A.Ray of Southmayd and Rev. W.H.Vail of Valley View officiated
with
burial at the Friendship cemetery, directed by the Dannel-Scott
Funeral home.
Mr. Abicht was born in Ohio May 3, 1860. His father, Christian
Abicht, was
born in Germany and his mother, the former Caroline Holshu, was
born in Ohio.
Mr. Abicht was a farmer for 62 years and last worked at this occupation
in
1932. He had resided near Sherman for 52 years. He was
a member of the
Methodist church fo many years. His wife died June 14, 1936.
Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. J.W.Dalton and Mrs. A.P.Kumler,
both of
Sherman route 2; one son, T.C.Abicht of Sherman route 2; and two
brothers,
W.J.Abicht of Chowchilla, Calif., and E.B.Abicht of Dallas.
Pallbearers were Harry Hudgins, Will Cummins, J.H.Cavender, Dud Caudry,
C.E.Wible and Dave Dalton.

NINA MAURINE ABICHT
Funeral services for Nina Maurine Abicht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
T.C.Abicht,
route 2, were held Sunday afternoon from the Friendship Methodist
church, with
interment following in the Friendship cemetery.
Officiating were the Revs. Kirk M. Beard of Sadler assisted by the
Rev. W.S.Davis
of the Friendship church. Pallbearers were Finis Smith, Marvin
Haney, John
Cummings and Minett Lilley. Ten schoolmates of Nina Maurine
were flower girls.
Services were under direction of the Dannel-Scott funeral home.
NINA MAURINE ABICHT
Nina Maurine Abicht, eight-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. C.
Abicht of route 2, Sherman, died Friday at 12:10 p.m. at the family home.
She was born near Sherman on March 2, 1925.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Friendship
Methodist church, and interment will be in Friendship cemetery, directed
by Dannel-Scott Funeral home.
Besides her parents the little girl is survived by her grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Abicht and Mrs. Ida Peoples of Sherman, and the following
aunts: Mrs. Ray Smith, Miss Ila Peoples and Mrs. John Dalton, Sherman;
Mrs. A. P. Kumler of Las Animas, Colo., and Mrs. W. A. McDougal, Westminster.

Sarah Katherine ABICHT
Sarah Katherine Abicht, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Abicht,
four miles west of Sherman on route 2, died at her home about 3 a.m. Sunday.
The baby lived about two hours.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Friendship cemetery
with the Rev. A. R. Morgan, pastor of Friendship Methodist church officiating.
Burial followed at Friendship cemetery, directed by Dannel-Scott Funeral
home.
Surviving are the parents; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W.
Abicht and Mrs. Ida Peoples of Sherman; and the following aunts; Mrs. Ray
Smith, Miss Ila Peoples and Mrs. John Dalton of Sherman; Mrs. A.
P. Kumler of Las Animas, Colo.,
and Mrs. W. A. McDouglas of Westminster.

T. C. (Tim) ABICHT
Timmons Christian Abicht, 65, a life-long resident of the Sherman
area, died early Thursday in a Sherman hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Key Memorial United Methodist
Church, with Rev. Tom Graves conducting, assisted by Rev. Michael Daves
of Prairie Heights United Methodist Church and Rev. William Slack Jr. of
the United Methodist Church of The Good Shepherd in Arlington. Burial
will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction
of the Dannel and Son Funeral Home.
Born on a farm west of Sherman Oct. 12, 1902, Mr. Abicht was the
son of George W. and Addie Grudier Abicht. He was married Nov. 6,
1923, to the former Anna Lee Peoples. He was a member of the Key
Memorial United Methodist Chruch where he served on the board of stewards
and was a member of the choir. He was a former choir director and
Sunday School Superintendent of Friendship Methodist Church where he was
also active in the Friendship Cemetery Associatin. He was a member
of Travis Lodge 117 AF&AM, and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife of 1509 Shields; one daughter Mrs. Don
Shadden of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Kumler and Mrs. John
Dalton, both of Sherman; and three grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday evening and at other
times they
will be at the residence, 1509 Shields.
Memorials may be made to the Perpetual Care Fund at Friendship Cemetery.
