Death Cert. adds this; 14 Oct 1906 - 20 Apr 1974, He lived at 319
E. Rosedale in Sherman, and died
at the Sherman Community Hospital. He had lived in Sherman for five
years.
He was born in Tx. , retired from a grain company. he was the son
of Will Young & Rena Ross,
Roxie Young , wife was the informant.
He died of a pulmonary embolus, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.

Funeral services for Sila R. Young, a retired Sherman
Grain Co. employe and a city resident for five years, will be held at 2:30
p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Whitewright. The Rev. Herman
Woods will officiate.
Mr. Young died Saturday morning at Sherman Community
Hospital. He was 68.
Born in Bethel Bells Community, he was educated there
in public schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitewright
and the Amicus Masonic Lodge 114 F & AM.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Roxie; brother,
Robert of Salinas, Calif.; and sister, Mrs. Thelma Walker of Whitewright.
Boyd-Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Burial will be in the Bethel Bells cemetery in Bells, with the Amicus Masonic
Lodge conducting graveside rites.
The family will be at 624 E. Jones in Sherman.
