POTTSBORO - After a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's Disease, Luella
Hale Clement, 90, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 19,
2009 at the Homestead of Denison.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 at Georgetown
Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Hancock officiating. Burial will follow
at Georgetown Cemetery.
Mrs. Clement was born on May 4, 1919 in Bennington, Okla., daughter
of Edward and Ruby Hale. She attended Georgetown and Denison schools. She
married Edgel Clement, "the love of her life" on Dec. 24, 1935 in Pottsboro,
and they were married for 54 years.
She was the last remaining charter member of Georgetown Baptist
Church, and until her illness, was a very active member. She taught Sunday
school classes, worked in vacation Bible school and was there to help others
in any way she could. She drove a school bus for Georgetown Schools in
the 1950s and worked for the original Fink Store in the 1970s.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Surviving are her daughters, Shirley Henderson of Pottsboro and
Lowaine Crook and husband, Claud of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Sheri Suggs
and husband, Johnny, Jackie Graves and husband, Ken, Jimmy Jones and wife,
Shawna, Beth Hale and husband, Darryl and Jeff Jones. She is also survived
by 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, on Feb. 9, 1990;
two grandsons; two brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel from 6 -7 p.m.
Wednesday.

She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and
great-great-grandmother, and she will be missed by her family and friends.
