Howe, Texas - Funeral services for Millard Fillmore Allison, 91,
retired farmer who died at home Tuesday at 4:45 p.m., were held Wednesday
at 2 p.m. at the Howe Baptist Church. Burial burial was in Hollway Cemetery,
directed by Dannel Funeral Home.
Millard was born in Tennessee, July 4, 1857. He came to Texas 59
years ago. (About Oct. 1889)
Survivors include: One son, William Joseph Allison, of Sherman, Texas;
one daughter Mrs. Delia Frances Allison Wood, of Howe, Texas; 12 grand-children,
numerous great grand-children, and two great great grand-children

William Joseph Allison b. Sept. 18, 1878 Nov. 21, 1954
Sherman, Texas - Funeral will be help Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the
Dripping Springs Baptist for William Joseph Allison, 76, retired farmer,
who died Tuesday at 6 a.m. in Wilson N. Jones Hospital. He lived on route
1 Sherman.
Rev. D.A. Nowell of Dripping Springs and Rev. W.J. Epting of Sherman
will officiate. Pallbearers will James Allison, Robert Allison, J.D. Allison
Jr., Guy Honeycutt, W.T. Allison, Nolin Allison, and Eunice Allison. Burial
will be in Holloway Cemetery, directed by Waldo Funeral Home.
William had farmed in the Sherman area for 45 years before retiring
in 1945 because of ill health. He was a native of Knoxville, Tennessee,
and came to Grayson at the age of seven. (About 1885/86)
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jimmie Stowe Allison; two sons L.D.
Allison of Denison, Texas, James Millard Allison Sr. of Sherman, Texas,
and two daughters Jessie Lee Allison Honeycutt, and Lula Frances Blair,
both of Sherman, Texas; a sister Dela Frances Allison Woods of Howe, Texas;
eight grand children, and four great grand children.
