George Henry "Man" Hawthorne

George Henry "Man" Hawthorne, age 70 of Howe, TX passed away June 8, 2010 at his home.  He was born on April 4, 1940 in Garvin, OK to James Oliver and Gladys Melviner (Williams) Hawthorne.  George worked for Burlington Industries and Magna-Fab was a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Landa Hawthorne of Howe, TX; sons, Gary Hawthorne of Denver, CO and Larry Hawthorne of Sherman, TX; brother, Steve Hawthorne of Howe, TX; sisters, Allie Hargrove and husband, C.W. of Sherman, TX, Annie Peacock and husband Dan of Howe, TX; Velma Frampton and husband, Cashman of Howe, TX and Betty griffin of Denison, TX; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Holloway Cemetery in Sherman with Gary Gibbs officiating.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday at Flesher Funeral Home in Howe.
