BRYCE ASKEW
Bryce Askew of Sherman, 58-year-old paint contractor, died Thursday
in Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Military graveside services by Sherman
Veteran of Foreign Wars No. 2772 will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Holloway
Cemetery.
The Rev. Andy Brockelman of Ida Baptist Church will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Mr. Askew was born in Klondike, the son of Delbert Homer Askew and
Magalee Garmon Askew, and graduated from Lutcher-Stark High School in Orange.
He served in the Army from 1960-1962. He married Mickey Vickery on
Feb. 13, 1965, in Dallas.
Mr. Askew moved to Sherman in 1977 and was a Baptist.
surviving are his wife; sons, Kevin Askew and Brent Askew of Beaumont;
daughters, Shannon Askew of Sherman and Dana Claypool of Orange and Jerry
Askew of Dallas; mother, Magalee Morris of Dallas; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary Claypool, David Inman, Kevin Askew, Brent
Askew and Glen Askew.
The family will be at the funeral home from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
