Services for Ernest Rayburn Anderson, 71, of Fort Worth
were held Wednesday in Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne with burial
in Holloway Cemetery. He died Sunday at his home.
Mr. Anderson was born in Commerce, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
James Anderson, and married Opal Blyth Stewart March 9, 1948, in McAllen.
He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Fort Worth and was a
retired salesman for the Burroughs Co. A World War II veteran, he
received the Asiatic Pacific Theater with three bronze service stars, the
purple heart and Oak Leaf Cluster for the purple heart.
Surviving are his wife; stepdaughters, Billie Padilla of Fort Worth
and Tommie Macy of Shreveport, La; sisters, Mary Helen Farris of Abilene
and Dorothy Gegax of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
