Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Collinsville Methodist Church for William Jennings Gardiner, 67, Collinsville banker and mayor. Burial was in Kendall Chapel Cemetery, north of Southmayd.
Survivors are his wife, five sisters, Mrs. Fred Hudson and Mrs. Hattie Holcomb of Sherman, Mrs. H.F. Herring of Waxahachie, Mrs. Hazel Hollinsworth of Stillwater, Okla. and Miss Kate Gardiner of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, Jess Gardiner of Waxahachie and H.G. Gardiner of Quitaque, Texas."
