Funeral Services for Aurelian "Grizzly" Smith, 77, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Sandusky. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the funeral home. 
He passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at The Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Amarillo. He was born on August 6, 1932 in Sandusky, Texas to Maurice and Grace (Payne) Smith. Grizzly was a professional wrestler and promoter for 50 years. He wrestled all over the world to legions of fans. Survivors include son, Richard Nabors and wife, Paula of Amarillo; son, Aurelian Smith, Jr. and wife, Shannon of Oak Ridge; daughter, Robin Smith of Hammond, Louisiana; son, Mike Smith of Hammond, Louisiana; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maurine Nabors of Whitesboro. Pallbearers are Chris Nabors, Bret Nabors, Dustin Smith, Derek Smith, James Cartwright and Joe Case.
