Edward F. Cox
Collinsville - - Edward F. Cox, 81, died July 26, 2003, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center.
A funeral service for Mr. Cox was held at 10 a.m. July 29 at the Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro.  Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Les York, Troy York, Michael York, John Knight, Joe Romero, Bill Ridinger.  Honorary pallbearers were Travis York and William Lail.
Mr. Cox was born in Cooke County on Aug. 27, 1921, to Alec and Bertha Williams Cox. He married Cleo Anderson in Carrollton, Texas on April 20, 1946.  He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Cleo Cox of Collinsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Mickey Matthews of Collinsville, Robin and Al Eddington of Dixie, Texas, and Tammy and Steve Henderson of Denton, Texas; brothers, G.C. Cox of Gainesville and Clyde Cox of Collinsville; grandchildren, Talitha and Less York of Gordonville, John Knight of Collinsville, Cindy Henderson of Odessa, and Stephanie Henderson of Odessa; great-grandchildren, Travis and Morgan York of Gordonville, Brent Lail of Ardmore, Claudia Lail of Ardmore, and Shelby Lail of Ardmore.
He also leaves behind three sisters, Bertie Roberts of Collinsville, Edna Tyler of Gainesville, and Gracie Ridinger of Lewisville; and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were under the care of Huff Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
