Charles C. Kennedy, 77, of Tioga, died Wednesday in a Denton hospital after an illness of a month. He was a retired farmer and a landowner, and had lived most of his life in the Tioga community.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the First Baptist Church at Tioga, with the Rev. H.G. Ball officiating. Burial was in the Tioga Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife , six sons, Everett Kennedy and Claude Kennedy of Tioga, Earl Kennedy of Dallas, Jack Kennedy and Raymond Kennedy of Freeport and Bedford Kennedy of Fort Worth; three daughters, Mrs. Chester Cunningham of Levelland, Mrs. Arthur Wilson of Dallas and Mrs. Fred Hestand of Fort Morgan, Colo., a brother, George K. Kennedy of Tioga; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Dwight and Mrs. Margaret Street of Fort Worth and Mrs. Edna Scoggins of Dallas.
