Tioga, Texas - Will A. Thompson, 73, a resident of the Tioga community
practically all his life, died Saturday night at his home after an illness
of several weeks. He was born in Little Rock, Ark., and came to Texas when
a small boy with his parents.
Thompson was a retired farmer and was a member of the Baptist Church.
He was married in 1908 at Tioga to Dollie Gibson, who survives.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm in the First Baptist
Church at Tioga, with the Rev. Curtis Mathis, Pastor, officiating, assisted
by Elder H.G. Ball. Burial will be in the Tioga Cemetery.
Besides his wife, survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Carriher
of Fort Worth and Mrs. Rue Hall of Tioga; three sisters, Mrs. Orb Hunt
of Collinsville, Mrs. Lee McKnight of Tioga, and Mrs. Mary Graves of Tioga,
and four grandchildren.
