First Grave - July 17, 1846, Millie McKinney, wife of Hiram Carrol McKinney, 
was the first to be interred in the Van Alstyne Cemetery.

Directions from Tony & Patricia Held; "Traveling Hwy 5 on S. Waco St. , 
turn East on Shreveport st, then turn right onto SW Main St., 
and finally turn left on Austin St., cross the railroad tracks and it will take 
you to the main entrance.
