VAN ALSTYNE - Services for Vera Faye Inmon McTee, 87, of Van
Alstyne, who died Friday, June 21, 1996, in Wilson N. Jones Hospital, will
be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 1996, in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel.
Jim Poole and Mark Streetman will officiate. Burial will be
in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. McTee was born May 30, 1909, in Myra, Texas, in Cooke County.
She was the daughter of Charlie Howell Inmon and Stella Lee Hicks Inmon.
She graduated in 1937 from the Denison High School, and married Arthur
Odell McTee on Oct, 6, 1929 in Woodlake.
She was employed as a cashier at local grocery stores for many years
and was an active member of Elmont Baptist Church.
Mr. McTee preceded her in death on March 12, 1982.
Surviving are her eight children: sons and daughters-in-law, Charles
and Pat McTee of Universal City, Texas, Don and Linda McTee of Graham,
Texas, Glenn and Mary Ann McTee of Palestine, Texas, Ken and Pat McTee
of Van Alstyne, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Bob Childress
and Sue and Glenn Gasill, all of Van Alstyne, Texas, Nita and John McCullough
of Sherman, Texas, and Rita and Ron Parris of Irving. She is also
survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is survived
by sisters, Ruby Daugherty of Sherman, Texas, and Velma Caldwell of Bonham,
She was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Inmon.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Ferguson, Joe Smith, Charlie Barrett,
David Barton, Loren Ferguson and James Flanery. Honorary pallbearers
will be grandsons.
The family will be at Flesher Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday
and at other times at the Bob and Betty Childress residence in Van Alstyne.
Memorials may be made to the Scholarship Fund at Elmont Baptist Church
of the Van Elders Club.

Arthur O. McTee
VAN ALSTYNE - Services for Arthur O. McTee, 78-year-old retired
self-employed Van Alstyne truck driver who died Friday at Wilson N. Jones
Memorial Hospital in Sherman, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Flesher
Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Mike Tignor of Elmont Baptist Church and the Rev. Johnny
Irish of the First United Methodist Church of Van Alstyne will officiate.
Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mr. McTee was born in Oklahoma, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. McTee,
and married Vera Inmon on Oct. 6, 1929 in Sherman. He was a member of the
Elmont Baptist Church ans was a bass singer for a gospel quartet for 46
Surviving are his wife, of Van Alstyne; daughters, Betty Childress
and Sue Gaskill, both of Van Alstyne, Nita Kaye McCullough of Sherman and
Rita Faye Parris of Irving; sons, Charles McTee of Univeral City, Don McTee
of Wichita Falls, Glenn McTee of Tyler and Ken McTee of Van Alstyne; sister,
Mrs. Juanita Lafferty of Burbank, Calif.; brothers, Clifford McTee of Waco
and Adrian McTee of Greenville, and 15 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andy Barton, Carl Lay, Paul Denton, Mike Hynds,
Bill Davis and Robbie Lane.
