MRS. EDGAR SLEDGE SUCCUMBS MONDAY

Mrs. Edgar Sledge, 25 years old, died Monday morning at her home in Van Alstyne.  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Van Alstyne, conducted by the Rev. Frank Johnston, pastor of the Baptist Church, and the Rev. Lloyd Mottley, pastor of the First Christian Church.  Burial was in the Van Alstyne Cemetery, under the direction of the Fox-Fanning funeral home.
Mrs. Sledge was born July 26, 1911, in Collin County.  She was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Edgar Sledge; one daughter, Audrey Nell; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robinsin; seven brothers: Robert, Claude, Marshall, R.C., L.C., Rudolph, all of Van Alstyne and Tom of Westminster; and one sister, Mary Sue of Van Alstyne.
