Texas Death Certificate
John Henry Veazey (male, white, single) , born 13 Sept 1911 in Childers
Co., Texas, was the son of Albert Veazey (b Alabama) & Ada E.
Sanford (b Alabama). The child was under Dr. Veazey & Slaughter's
care for one day upon his death at 5 a.m. on 23 December 1915 in Grayson
Co. The cause of death was a burn over 2/3rds of his body from which
he survived one day. He was 4 years, 4 months and 13 days old at
the time of his death. He was buried in Van Alstyne Cemetery on 23
December 1915 under the care of Undertaker S.L. McKinney. The
informant was his father, Albert Veazey of RR2, Van Alstyne.

Van Alstyne, Texas Dec 23- The 4-year-old son of Mr.
& Mrs Albert Veazey, who live on the J.C. Umpress farm near Ferguson's
Chapel. Northwest of Van Alstyne, fell into a tub of scalding water yesterday
afternoon and was so badly burned that it died at an early hour this morning.
The burial took place at the Van Alstyne Cemetery this afternoon at 4 o'clock.
