Mrs. Winnie Stinnett
van Alstyne - Services for Mrs. Winnie Davis Stinnett of McKinney,
99-year-old housewife who died Monday at her home, will be held at 4 p.m.
Wednesday in Flesher Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Hugh Abraham of the First Christian Church of Anna will
officiate, and burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Stinnett was born in Anna, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
W. McKinney and the great-granddaughter of Collin McKinney, a signer of
the Texas Declaration of Independence.
She married Guy V. Stinnett in 1907 in Anna.
Mrs. Stinnett was a member of the First Christian Church of Anna
and Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Surviving are her daughters, Helen Braswell and Ruth Swann, both
of McKinney; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jack Stinnett, Randy Stinnett, Keith Frazier,
Bob Hardin, Leonard Harlow, Bobby McKinney, Dexter McKinney and David Keeler.
The family will be at the funeral hom from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and
other times at the residence, 1303 W. Lamar St., McKinney.
