Van Alstyne - Services for Ernest Eugene Young, 72-year-old Van
Alstyne resident who died Thursday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, will be
held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Flesher Funeral Home here.
The Rev. Rev. Jimmy Tarrant, pastor of the First Baptist Church,
will officiate. Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mr. Young was born in Melissa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin
Young. On Oct. 18, 1946, he married Ima Jewel Ireland in Van Alstyne.
A World War II Air Force veteran, he had retired from civil service
as a maintenance worker. He was a member of the Mantua Lodge AF&AF
No. 208 14 years and Firs Baptist Church in Van Alstyne.
Surviving are his daughters, Janet Krebbs of Sherman, Brenda Loftice
of Howe and Lena Southerland of Frisco; son, Joe Young of Van Alstyne;
brothers, Johnny Young of Riverside, Calif., Elbert Young of Van Alstyne
and Floyd Young of Bonham; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Masons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Ima Young
Van Alstyne - Services for Mrs. Ima Jewel Young, 58-year-old Van
Alstyne housewife who died Saturday in Baylor Medical Center following
a lengthy illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Flesher Funeral Home
Chapel.
The Rev. Scott Jordan of the First Baptist Church will officiate
and burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Young was born in Texas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
D. Ireland, and married Ernest Young on Oct. 18, 1946 in Van Alstyne.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband; daughters, Brenda Loftice of Howe, Lema
Southerland of Frisco and Janet Krebbe of Sherman; son, Joe Young of Van
Alstyne; mother, Mrs. Clara Ireland of Van Alstyne; sisters, Opal Watson
of Van Alstyne, Joan Rutledge of Dallas, Joyce Wallen of Luella and Barbara
....of Seagoville; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Williams, Kenneth Cupit, Dennis Ferguson,
