Tioga - Services for Mrs. Carmen Thelma Vaughan, 76, a retired
school teacher who died Sunday at a Sherman hospital, will beheld at 2
p.m. Tuesday at the College Hill Church of Christ in Gunter, conducted
by Wayne Lowe, church of Christ minister and Rev. Mark Haugarth, a Baptist
minister.
Burial will be at Van Alstyne Cemetery with arrangements by Flesher
Funeral Home in Van Alstyne.
Mrs. Vaughan was born in Texas, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Mynatt and married J.N. Vaughan Jr on Feb. 25, 1925 in Gunter.
She was a member of the College Hill Church of Christ.
Survivin are her sons, Bill Vaughan of Bedford, George Vaughan of
Gunter; daughter, Valjean Kent of Whitewright; seven grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Clyde Vaughan, Gerald Vaughan, George Vaughan, Russell
Vaughan, Nicky Kent and Jerry Hall.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday,
at other times, at the George Vaughan residence in Gunter.
