Rites Held For Mrs. Ballard

Services were held Friday at Flesher Funeral home chapel for Mrs. Dade Ballard, 95-year-old Van Alstyne housewife who died Wednesday.
The Rev. Ron Page, First Methodist Church pastor, and the Rev. Donald Griffith of the Van Alstyne First Christian Church, conducted final rites.Burial was in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Ballard was born in Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.G.Ballard.She was married to H.W.Ballard on Oct. 25 1903, in Van Alstyne and was a member of the First Methodist Church here.
Three daughters, Mrs. W.M.House of Van Alstyne, Mrs. W.W.Powell of Boswell, Okla., and Mrs. C.E.Cantrell of Dallas, and one son, Garland Ballard, Van Alstyne, survive.Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
