Van Alstyne - Billie Allen, 78, died Saturday, January 3,
2004 in Wilson N. Jones Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Flesher Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Mercer and the Rev. Jack Wallace officiating.
Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Weldon (Pookie) williams, Gus Vermillion, Charles
Hix, Johnny Bratcher; Tom Chapman, Jimmy Beard, Zack Herring, Gary Russell.
Visitation will be from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen was bor September 2, 1925 in Tom Bean, Texas, the son
of Willie Allen and Eula Mae (Boots) Wortham Allen. He attended Tom
Bean High School. He married Joyce Flesher October 4, 1947 in Van
Alstyne.
He was a member of First Methodist Church in Van Alstyne, member
of Mantua Masonic Lodge, #209, Van Alstyne, Leah Elliot order of Eastern
Star #1119, Grayson County Schttish Rite Shriners

Van Alstyne - Joyce Madee (Flesher) Allen, 74, died Saturday, July
22, 2006 in Regency Hospital of North Dallas.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Flesher Funeral
Home Chapel, Van Alstyne with John Goldol officiating. Burial will
be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen was born January 5, 1932 in Van Alstyne, the daughter
of James Montrose and Viola (Shell) Flesher. She married Billie Allen
on October 4, 1947 in Van Alstyne; he preceded her in death on January
3, 2004. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Van Alstyne and the Leah Elliot Chapter of the Eastern Star in Van Alstyne.
Surviving are her daughter, Glenda Ereckson and hsuband, John of
Wylie; one granddaughter, Tiffany Baggerman and husband, Paul of Arthur
city; sister, Evelyn McGuffee and husband, Robert of Fort Worth; one brother,
Don Flesher Sr of Van Alstyne; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law,
Jessie Flesher of McKinney, Glydville Crawford of Richardson.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Doyle
Flesher.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Monday at Flesher Funeral Home,
Van Alstyne.
