Funeral services for Killis Napoleon Hunter of Rt.1
were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, conducted
by the pastor, Rev. James C. Coffey and Rev. B.C. Robertson. Interment
was in the Van Alstyne cemetery, under the direction of the Flesher Funeral
Home. Pallbearers were Doak Grider, A.D. Stephens, Wade Powell, Kit Hix,
Larry Hartley, and Eartherly Stephens. Mr. Hunter died in the Community
Hospital Jan. 10 at 3:45 a.m. He was a farmer residing on Rt. 1, Van Alstyne.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Irene
Polston, whom he married on Sept. 13, 1918; by four daughters, Mrs. Wyatt
Griffin of Tom Bean, Mrs. Harold Hertzog of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Mrs.
Tom Morrison of Sherman, and Mrs. Dan Stephens of Celina; by three sons,
Wallace Hunter of Sherman, Killis Hunter, Jr. of Van Alstyne, and Howard
Hunter of Whitewright; by 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and
by one sister, Mrs. Ethel Sanford of Sherman.
