EDGAR Z. CALDWELL

Edgar Z. Caldwell died in the Wilson Jones Hospital in  Sherman on Sept. 15 at 4:50 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at the First Christian Church here on Sept. 17 at 10:30 a.m. by the pastor, Rev. Ken Britt. Active pallbearers were: L.D.Spence, R.J.Elliott, Robt. H. Veazey, Carter Yoder, Grady Douglas and Joe Eatherly. Interment was in the City Cemetery under the direction of the Flesher Funeral Home.
Ed Caldwell was born on Nov. 30, 1882 in Crocker, Missouri, son of the late John H. and Hulda Back Caldwell. He was united in marriage with Miss Alice Gandy on Oct. 19, 1910. He had been a resident of Van Alstyne for seventy years.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Clyde Caldwell of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. D.C.McMakin of Dallas; and one brother, Arlie Caldwell of Van Alstyne.
