SHERMAN - Minnie Lee Harrott of Sherman passed away July
26, 2011 in Bandera. Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Dannel Funeral Home with
Leland Samuelson officiating. Interment will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 -8 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011
at Dannel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harrott was born July 7, 1920 to Judson Martin Broom and Annie
Lucresa (Johnson) Broom in Willis, Oklahoma. She moved to Dallas t the
age of 9, and attended school until graduation.
She married Marshall Harrott on June 4, 1938 in Dallas, and then
moved to Sherman in 1972. For many years she was employed as an X-ray technician
at Medical Plaza Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters;
Lucille Broom and Hazel Latham, brothers; Jake and Alonzo Broom, grandson;
John Marshall Hall and one great- grandson, Joshua Buck.
She is survived by a son William Martin Harrott and wife Linda of
Rockwall; and five daughters, Phila Lucresa Kauth and husband Gene of Medina,
Brenda Jean Goodwin of Denison, Montresa Lee Moss and husband Jack of Sherman,
Juquita Lynn McConnell and husband Morris of Garland, Laneta Gail Harden
and husband Curtis of Garland.
Mrs. Harrott is also survived by six great nieces and nephews, 14
grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her eight grandsons, David Hall, Jackie Moss,
Troy Moss, Sean Harrott, Paul Burnett, Michael Harden, Keith Harden and
Matthew McConnell.
