Texas Death Certificate
Jim Mooneyham (male, white, married) was born 6 April 1887 in Kentucky,
the son of William and Louisa Roe Mooneyham. He was a farmer in Prec.
4, Van Alstyne, Grayson County, Texas. He died at the age of 80 on
22 February 1968 in Wilson N. Jones Hospital, Sherman, Texas, where he
had been hospitalized for 8 days. The informant was his wife, Mrs.
Lois Mooneyham. The cause of his death was multiple myeloma, which
he had suffered with for one year; other significant condition contributing
to his death was arteriosclerotic heart disease and senility, 2 years.
Under the direstion of Flesher Funeral Home, he was buried in Van Alstyne
Cemetery on 23 February 1968.

VAN ALSTYNE - Funeral services for Jim Mooneyham will be held at
3 p.m. Saturday in the First Methodist Church here.
Mr. Mooneyham died at 9:40 p.m., Thursday in a Sherman hospital.
Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery directed by Flesher Funeral Home.

He was born April 6, 1887, in Kentucky, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
William Mooneyham. He married Lois Welch Dec. 5, 1914, at Van Alstyne.
He was a member of the Van Alstyne Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Van Alstyne; two sons, Clyde Mooneyham
of Sherman and Howard Mooneyham of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Hansel Smith
of Odessa; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren;
a sister, Mrs. Letha Hutcherson of Sherman.
The family will be at the Funeral Home from 7 until 8 p.m., Friday.
