Van Alstyne - Graveside services for John Samuel York of Howe, 76-year-old
farmer who died Tuesday at his residence, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday
in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Rev. John L. Bruce of Bethel Baptist Church
in Howe will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Flesher Funeral Home.
Mr. York was born in Howe, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam York, and
married Beatrice Smith. He was a Baptist and a World War II Army
veteran.
Surviving is his brother, Lyman York of Howe.
The family will be at the funeral home in Van Alstyne from 7 to
8 p.m. today.

Van Alstyne - Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday
in Van Alstyne cemetery for Beatrice York, a spinner with Burlington Industries
who died Sunday at her residence in Howe.
The Rev. Dennis Wilkinson will officiate. Arrangements are by flesher
Funeral Home.
Mrs. York was born in Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C.
Morris and married John York March 6, 1958, at Ardmore, Okla. She was a
member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband; sister, Ann Fralick of Seattle, Wash.;
and brothers, Carol Morris of Tom Bean and John Morris of Denison.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
