Van Alstyne - Services for Mrs. Louise Crockett Stinnett
of Route 2, Whitewright, 65-year-old retired school teacher who died Monday
at Campbell Care Centerin Whitewright, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday
at Morning Chapel Methodist Church in Van Alstyne.
The Rev. George Clark, the Rev. Jack Castle and the Rev. John Barnett
will officiate and burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery, directed by
Flesher Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stinnett was born in Texas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William
Hugh Crockett, and married Oglesby Stinnett on March 29, 1940, in Sherman.
She taught at schools in Pilot Grove, Whitewright and Van Alstyne
and was a member of Morning Chapel Methodist Church of Van Alstyne.
Surviving are her husband of Whitewright; daughters, Ina Ruth Edwards
of Modesto, Calif., and Carole Stinnett Frazier of Grand Prairie; son,
Donald H. Stinnett of Fort Worth; sister, Ruth Poy of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brother,
Gordon Odell Crockett of Annapolis, Md.; and six grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Sarah Bell Stinnett
Sarah Bell Stinnett, 81, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Van Alstyne,
died March 17, 1999 at St. Paul Nursing Home in Denver, Colo., and was
buried March 25 at Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. Stinnett was born March 28, 1917 in Van Alstyne, Texas.
The daughter of Walter and Millie McKinney, she attended Washington School
in Van Alstyne.
She was married to Cecil Conrad Stinnett, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two children, Willis Stinnett and Cecile (Tootie)
Stinnett of Denver, Colo., seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren,
one great-great-grandchild, four nieces, six nephews, and a host of relatives
and friends

At the time of Cecil Conrad Stinnett's (male, colored) death, he
was living at Rt.#1 in Van Alstyne, Texas. He was 43 years of age.
Cecil Conrad Stinnett was born October 20, 1905 in Grayson County Texas;
the son of Simmon Peter Stinnett and Pheabie McCollum. His death
occurred at 10:15 p.m. on October 30, 1948. The cause of his death
was Sub-acute Bactrial Endocarditis. The informant was S.P.Stinnett
of Box 341, Van Alstyne, Texas. Burial was at the Van Alstyne
Cemetery on November 2, 1948 under the direction of Fox-Fanning Funeral
Home, #1155 L. K. Fox, Van Alstyne, Texas.
