WALTER BADGETT - Denison, Texas - Funeral services were held here this
afternoon for Walter A. Badgett, 63, long time Denison contractor, who died
late Saturday, three days after suffering a heart attack.  Born in Fannin
County, Mr. Badgett had resided here half a century.  He entered the
contracting business 38 years ago.
   He is survived by his wife,  the former Miss Maggie A. Blanton, whom he
married Sept 27, 1905, at Whitewright; three sons, Lt. Col. W.H. Badgett,
Camp Burkely, Texas; Maj. James R. Badgett, with the army in France, Corp
Joe S. Badgett with the Army in Holland; a daughter, Miss Lucille Badgett of
Dallas; three brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren. (He was
predeceased by a son, Thomas Alexander Blanton, who died at about 6 months
of age in December 1921.)

Richard Howard Badgett - Jan. 28, 1940 - May 21, 2001
   Services for Richard Howard Badgett, 61, of College Station are set for
11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. The Rev. Tom
Huser of Covenant Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the
College Station Cemetery.
   Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to service
time Saturday at the funeral home.
   Mr. Badgett died Monday at his home.
   He was born in College Station and attended Texas A&M University and
graduated from Texas State Technical Institute in Waco. He was a member of
the Covenant Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Army.
   Survivors include his mother, Francis Badgett of College Station, and
numerous other relatives.  (Richard Howard Badgett was the son of Walter
Howard Badgett and Frances Braves.  His paternal grandparents were Walter A.
Badgett and Maggie Alice Blanton, who are buried in Fairview Cemetery,
Denison, TX. He was the g-grandson of Benjamin F. "Frank" Blanton and Julia
Ann Blanton who are buried in the Bethel Cemetery, Whitewright, Grayson Co.,
TX.)
