Alexander Family of Howe
Any help researching this family appreciated!

From Penny Perry, decendant of the Alexander of Howe
P. C. (Pinkney Columbus) Alexander
    Great grandparents:
            P. C. (Pinkney Columbus) Alexander, b.1845  [in Tennessee?]  married  Anne Edwards b.1862  [in Texas]
Marriage Record of Pinkney Columbus Alexander & Anne Edwards say that they were married in Grayson County, 13 Dec 1886.
I know P.C. and Anne lived in Howe at least from 1887-1904.  What happened to Pinkney Columbus Alexander?
    When did they leave Howe?

    Their children, :

Maude [Alexander] Stevens, b. 1887, m. Olin Leroy Stevens 1904 , see photograph below on this page- my grandparents - 9 children

Ethelyn [Alexander] Sanderson, m. Harry A. Sanderson, b. 1888, one son, Harry A. Sanderson Jr., b. 1921, deceased, no survivors

Paul Alexander, b. 1892. d. 1922, no survivors; buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Texarkana TX

Mabel [Alexander] [Powell] Girard, died in 1939, first husband was  one child (George L. Powell), deceased

    My mother:
Peggy [Stevens] Lee, one of 9 children, is the only surviving child of Maude, only surviving grandchild of P. C. and Anne Alexander.

My grandmother, Maude, was born in Howe, Maude Alexander's ,birth certificate, I think it likely the next two were also (certainly Texas).
Maude's youngest sibling (Mabel) was born in Arkansas in 1896 according to census records, however,
I know the family was back in Howe by the time Maude was married in 1904
    (confirmed by her marriage record.)
After her marriage she moved to Texarkana, where all their children were born.  According to family lore, both PC and Anne Alexander were present at the wedding.

Presumably PC and Anne  continued to live in Howe for at least some time.  I do not know how long they lived there, or what happened to him - by 1910, Anne was living with my grandparents and Maude's two youngest siblings in Texarkana.

My mother, who was born in 1928, has no memory of ever meeting him (although she does remember Anne Alexander), and only remembers being told that he was a photographer.

View Maude Stevens in her later years.
