Dillon, Jim was born in Benton County, Tennessee in 1859.  He lived in that state until he was about twenty-three years old.  He then moved to Poinsett County, Arkansas and lived there for a number of years.  He came to Collinsville soon after that and has been here most of the time with the exception of a few years that he spent in Oklahoma and neighboring towns.  Mr. Dillon married while in Arkansas and is the father of two children.  They are: John Dillon of Collinsville and Mrs. Lallah White of Whitesboro.  Mr. Dillon remembers Governor Murray when that now distinguished gentleman was a mere boy in Collinsville.
