EVELYN O. TEEL at Pike County Hospital in Murfreesboro.  She was born June 20, 1915 in
   Evelyn O. Teel, 83, of Delight died May 15, 1999, at Pike County Hospital in Murfreesboro.  She was born June 20, 1915 in Antoine, daughter of the late Alvin and Ora Dowdle Owen.  She was a former beauty shop owner-operator and a member of  Delight Church of Christ.  She was the widow of R.P. Teel and was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Teel, and a stepdaughter, Wilma Howell (sic Howl).
   Survivors include:  Two sons, Robert Teel of Antoine and Dale Teel of Delight; a brother, Ralph Owen of Vallejo, Calif; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
   Funeral was today at Delight Church of Christ with Wallace Alexander and Randy Hughes officiating.  Burial was in Antoine Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.   (research note: Evelyn Owen Teel's husband Robert Paschal Teel was the son of William Burr Teel and Emma Louise Blanton.  He was the grandson of Benjamin Franklin Blanton, a CSA veteran, and Julia Ann Blanton [maiden name same surname] and of Asa Harper Teel and Lovenia Barnes.  He was the great-grandson of Benjamin Edward Blanton and Mary Feagans of Rutherford Co., NC and of Fannin Co., TX pioneers, Stephen Fletcher Blanton, a CSA veteran, and Sarah McDaniel.

HORACE KENDALL TEEL
   Arkadelphia - Horace Kendall Teel, 12, Delight, son of Mrs. Evelyn Teel and the late Robert Teel died today in a Texarkana hospital.  He also is survived by two brothers, Robert and Dale Teel, Delight; a half sister, Wilma Howl, Vernon, Tex., and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O.A. Owens, Delight.  Funeral services will be conducted in the Church of Christ, Delight at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow with burial in Antoine Cemetery by Murray Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.  (Horace Kendall "Kenny" Teel was the grandson of William Burr Teel and Emma Louise Blanton.  He was the great-grandson of Benjamin Franklin Blanton, a CSA veteran, and Julia Ann Blanton [maiden name same surname] and Asa Harper Teel and Lovenia Barnes.  He was the great-great-grandson of Benjamin Edward Blanton and Mary Feagans of Rutherford Co., NC and of Fannin Co., TX pioneers, Stephen Fletcher Blanton, a CSA veteran, and Sarah McDaniel.)

ORPHA VELMA WALT
   DENISON -- Orpha Velma Walt, was born on December 29, 1909 in Sabinal, Uvalde County, TX, the daughter of Thomas Bass and Ida Cordelia Nicely
Blanton. She went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2004 in Denison, TX.   She married Raymond Everett Walt on October 20, 1929, in Thackerville, Love County, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death May 21, 2000. She was also preceded by a daughter, Lois Marie Walt on October 31, 1932 and a grandson, Tommy Lansford on July 4, 1975. She was a member of Bells United Methodist Church.
   She is survived by her five children, Doris Juanita Lansford and husband, Vernon of Bells; Troyce Lee Walt and wife, Pat of Bells; Ernest Everett Walt and wife, Pam of Rockwall; Ruth Ann Carlisle and husband, Charles of Richardson; Eddie Raymond Walt and wife, Carol of Rising Star; 23 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Blanton and wife, Dorothy of Kansas; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Service will be Monday, April 5, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Mullican Little Funeral Home, Bells, TX.
   Officiating will be Rev. Earnest Walt and Rev. Joan Humphries. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and all grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004, at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Fannin
County, TX near Whitewright, TX.
