ECTOR - John Blanton, well-known itinerant preacher and farmer, died at

Franklin Blanton and Sarah Lucretia Boone. He was the grandson of Fannin
County, TX pioneers Josiah Blanton and Lucy Westbrook and Joseph R. Boone
and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw. John's great-grandfather was the Rev. Jeremiah
Blanton, who in 1892, founded the still active Oak Grove Methodist Church in
Ellensboro, Rutherford Co., NC. One of John's grandmother, Virginia E.M.
