She was born in Walnut Cove, NC, dau;. of Dr. W.W. Cole, b. N.C. and Christaina Dalton, b. NC.

Sherman, Texas, Jan 25- Funeral services were held Sunday at the Cedar Methodist Church for Miss Bessie Jane Middleton, who died at her home Saturday, Burial was in the Cedar Cemetery, near Ida, Grayson County.
Mrs. Middleton was born July7, 1896, in the Celtic Community near Howe, Grayson County; daughter of J.M. and Christiana Cole Middleton. She was a member of the Cedar Methodist Church forty years.
She is survived by two brothers, Jim H. Middleton of Sherman, with whom she resided, and W.C. Middleton of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. George B. Hughes of McKinney."
