Grayson County Man Dies at Age of 96;
Whitesboro, Texas, Oct 24 - James Monroe Chisum, 96, died at his home following a six-year-confinement to his bed. Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of PVT Francis H. Jackson, 914th Signal Corps, Army Air Forces, who is one of his fifteen grandsons.
Mr. Chisum came to Grayson County sixty years ago. His wife died sixty-four years ago, since which time he has remained at his home with members of his family, a daughter, Miss Jodie Chisum has remained with her father.
He is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Leah Boston of Lubbock and Mrs. Almeda Jackson of Sadler; a son, William Chisum of Dixie; fifteen grandsons, nine granddaughters, ten great - grandchildren.
